The international siggy list contains people who exchange Dear Jane D13 patchwork blocks by snail mail. We use the "Field of Dreams" pattern in column 13, row D of the quilt from Jane A. Blakely Stickle (1817 - 1896). Brenda Papadakis studied the quilt in detail and published the 225 patterns in her Dear Jane book.

Siggy is short for "a little signature block". In the mid-1800s women created several types of signature blocks. They stitched them together into remembrance quilts for weddings, retirements, and other special occasions. Our siggies are embellished square in a square blocks.
